Overview
Client: ConnexR (connexr.com) – AI holding company, subsidiaries including LeoRix AI, Postwyse, PromptOps, TradersHub, and FoundersHub.ai, plus parent domain rsatech.com Engagement type: Technical SEO audit, indexing cleanup, structured data, and AI-search (GEO) optimization Duration: ~90-day sprint (late March – June 2026)
The Problem
When the ConnexR engagement began, the site had a portfolio of ambitious product pages – AI managed services, AIOps, enterprise AI transformation, LeoRix AI, leadership and careers pages, but almost none of it was actually reaching Google, let alone the newer AI-driven search surfaces like AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Gemini.
A baseline technical audit surfaced a familiar but costly pattern:
- Near-zero organic footprint. Google Search Console showed effectively 0 ranking keywords and negligible click-through, despite dozens of published pages.
- Severe indexing gaps. Of the site’s ~108 crawlable URLs, only around 18 pages were indexed, the rest were stuck in “Discovered currently not indexed,” “Crawled, currently not indexed,” or blocked by broken canonical signals.
- Canonical and duplicate-content conflicts. Google was repeatedly choosing a different canonical URL than the one the site intended, a classic multi-subsidiary problem (connexr.com, rsatech.com, and subsidiary brand pages competing for the same intent).
- No structured data validation. Breadcrumb markup was either missing or throwing errors, meaning zero rich-result eligibility.
- Weak authority signals. Fewer than ~15 referring domains and a thin backlink profile (roughly 40 links), leaving Authority Score low and organic traffic essentially flat.
- Poor mobile performance. PageSpeed Insights mobile performance scores sat in the ~38/100 range, a meaningful drag on both rankings and user experience.
- Zero AI-search presence. No mentions or citations across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, or Gemini, a growing blind spot as buyers increasingly research enterprise AI vendors through conversational search rather than the traditional 10 blue links.
- Average keyword position beyond page 6 (15+), with average CTR sitting under 1%.
In short: A technically sound product with an SEO foundation that was actively working against it, invisible to search engines, invisible to AI assistants, and invisible to the enterprise buyers researching both.
The Process: What Was Actually Done
1. Full Technical SEO Audit
Crawled the entire domain architecture (connexr.com, rsatech.com, and subsidiary pages) to map every indexing blocker: redirect chains, 404s, duplicate content clusters, and canonical mismatches. Each issue was categorized by root cause “Website”-side (fixable in code/CMS) vs. “Google systems”-side (requiring canonical or content-differentiation signals) so fixes could be prioritized by effort-to-impact.
2. Canonical & Indexing Cleanup
- Resolved duplicate-content conflicts where Google had selected a different canonical than the one the site specified the single largest driver of the indexing gap.
- Cleaned up redirect chains and removed dead 404 paths from the crawl budget.
- Re-submitted corrected URLs via URL Inspection and refreshed the XML sitemap to accelerate re-crawling.
- Monitored the “Why pages aren’t indexed” report weekly to confirm each fix converted from Failed → Passed validation.
3. Structured Data Implementation
- Audited and repaired breadcrumb schema across templates.
- Validated markup until it hit a clean state no critical errors, full item coverage making the site eligible for breadcrumb rich results in the SERP.
4. Content & Information Architecture
- Fixed brand-name collision issues in search results (connexr vs. rsatech vs. subsidiary brand terms cannibalizing each other).
- Restructured title tags and meta descriptions across core pages (About, Leadership, Careers, LeoRix AI, service pages) to disambiguate intent and target commercial queries like “enterprise ai transformation services” directly.
- Built topical clustering between the parent brand (rsatech.com) and product/subsidiary pages to consolidate authority instead of splitting it.
5. Authority & Backlink Building
- Ran targeted digital PR and outreach to grow referring domains and backlinks feeding both connexr.com and rsatech.com, lifting Authority Score and giving Google stronger third-party trust signals.
6. Page Speed & Core Web Vitals
- Diagnosed mobile performance bottlenecks (render-blocking resources, unoptimized assets) and worked through fixes template by template to bring mobile Performance scores up substantially.
7. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) AI Search Visibility
- Beyond classic SEO, structured key pages (service descriptions, product definitions, leadership bios) to be easily extractable and citable by LLM-based answer engines.
- Tracked emerging visibility across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, and Gemini as a new KPI category treating “AI mentions” and “cited pages” as seriously as organic clicks.
Solution
The engagement moved ConnexR from a state of near-total search invisibility to a measurably indexed, structurally sound, and increasingly AI-discoverable domain. The biggest unlock was fixing the canonical and duplicate-content conflicts that had been silently suppressing indexing once resolved, indexed pages jumped from roughly a sixth of the site to nearly two-thirds. That technical fix, paired with structured data validation, authority building, and a first pass at generative-engine optimization, produced a keyword base doubling in size, a five-fold+ improvement in average ranking position, and notably the brand’s first confirmed appearances inside AI Overviews, ChatGPT, AI Mode, and Gemini, positioning ConnexR for the next phase of search: Being found not just by crawlers, but by the AI assistants enterprise buyers now use to shortlist vendors.
